FBI Tour Information

One of the most popular tourist attractions in Washington, the hour-long FBI tour, includes a review of famous crime cases, a crime lab investigation and an optional visit to the indoor firing range.

The J. Edgar Hoover FBI building is open Monday through Friday, except holidays, for free public tours from 8:45 am to 11:45 am. Tours begin every twenty minutes at the entrance on the corner of 9th and E streets, NW, and last approximately one hour.

Congressional tours of the FBI are conducted Monday through Friday, except holidays, at 12:20 pm, 1:00 pm, 1:40 pm, 2:20 pm, and 3:00 pm. Senators are not limited to a maximum number of Congressional tours per week, and may sponsor up to 6 guests per tour, pending availability.
