The mansion, slave quarters, stables and the tomb of our first President and Mrs. Washington are among the points of special interest. Mount Vernon is surrounded by formal gardens designed by George Washington himself.

Located on the banks of the Potomac River, Mount Vernon offers a spectacular view from its veranda.

Admission is charged ($9.00 adults, $8.50 seniors, $4.50 children, ages 6-11, under 6 free). For more information, call (703) 780-2000.
