
Mayor Dianne Feinstein established the San Francisco Conservation
Corps (SFCC) in 1983. SFCC was one of the first urban youth corps
in the nation. Since then, the SFCC has engaged over 2,000 participants
in more than three million hours of community service. SFCC operates
four sites: Community Service and Training Center (CST), the Presidio
Recycling and Education Center located in the Presidio, the Environment
and Community Outreach Center (ECO) in the Mission and the Office
Headquarters in Fort Mason. |
