Senator Feinstein and Senator Brownback convened a hearing of the
Senate Cancer Coalition Hearing to focus on “Challenges in
Access to Cancer Treatment” in order to address the proposed
changes in Medicare reimbursement for cancer care in the outpatient
setting under the "Medicare and Prescription Drug Improvement
and Modernization Act of 2003" as well as to evaluate treatment
and access barriers and opportunities for current cancer patients.
