
U.S. Department of Transportation Approves Release of $36.2 Million for California Airport Projects
Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has approved the release of $36,292,402 million for infrastructure improvement projects at eight airports in California.
"As California's population continues to increase, it is critical that we sustain investment in the State's transportation infrastructure," Senator Feinstein said. "This action represents a major infusion of federal funding and will help California maintain its air transportation facilities."
Congress approved these projects as part of the 2000 Transportation Appropriations Act and the Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century. A full description of each project is available upon request.
