The Department of State Diplomatic Reception Rooms are open to public tours Monday through Friday, except holidays, at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 2:45 pm by reservation only. Reservations should be made by calling the tour office at (202) 647-3241. Reservations are accepted up to 90 days in advance, and should be made at least three to six weeks in advance to assure the dates you desire.
Diplomatic Security regulations require that the names of all visitors be provided in advance and, for groups of 5 or more, social security numbers and dates of birth as well. This is a fine arts tour and is not recommended for children under the age of twelve. A valid photo identification is required. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
